Sarah Sprinkel Hosts Campaign Kick Off Event at the Historic Krummer-Kilbourne House
One hundred and fifty people came out on the coldest day of the year to kick off the campaign. The crowd enthusiastically supported Sarah’s leadership. Ellen Titan Wojick introduced Sarah. Sarah shared her platform of balancing the old with the present while keeping an eye on the future. She did this at the Kummer-Kilbourne home, lovingly preserved for our community, to show her allegiance to preservation, her pride in park avenue and eye to what commuter rail can do for us. Bruce Blackwell called the crowd to action to keep our city spirit high with Sarah’s leadership and consensus building style.
You can hear all three on Sarah’s YouTube account.
Sarah ended with coach Wooden’s quote- “to win takes talent, to repeat takes character.” Sarah has the character we need to continue as our city commissioner. Sarah clearly wants to continue her “leadership in action,” and she is asking for your help.

Sarah Sprinkel Announces Re-election Campaign for Winter Park City Commission, Seat 2
Winter Park City Commissioner and Vice Mayor Sarah Sprinkel announced Tuesday evening that she will seek re-election.
Hundreds of well wishers turned out to pledge another round of community-wide support in hopes of repeating Sarah’s 2011 landslide victory. Sarah and her family greeted guests, long-time friends and neighbors at Palmano’s. Drinks and appetizers were served as guests mingled and chatted.
Sarah’s husband, George, gave an introductory few words about Sarah’s leadership in the community. Sarah then gave a ten minute speech, detailed the successes of Winter Park for the past three years, leading the audience through a metaphorical “tour” of the neighborhood and the recent developments. Finally, Clark closed with words about his pride of Sarah’s leadership in the community, and his love of living in Winter Park, close to his parents.
You can check out more photos of the evening on the Re-elect Sarah Sprinkel Facebook page here.
The formal campaign kickoff will be held in January, and the election will be March 11, 2014.
Those who know her say it best:
“We appreciate your independence on the City Commission when studying the matters that are presented. We are confident that you will continue to be a steward of the city’s legacy and are glad we can assist you in your re-election.” Ann Hicks and Kenneth Murrah

“To the people who are looking for a high level of energy, an ability to absorb a lot of data and the experience to know what to do with it, I say call Sarah Sprinkel.” Rick Baldwin
